In the beginning I found it very difficult to discipline myself into coming every day to the class, because of the heat, didn't drink enough water, not enough food, etc. I was not prepared for the intensity of it all. To make matters worse I became injured with a hamstring pull, which requires a long healing process. But by committing myself to a daily regimen it became easier and easier to come to class, it became my daily routine.
Now I realize that the benefits that I gain are many; healthy exercise, flexibility, good friends and I really enjoy the perspiration which rids my body of toxins.
I want to encourage all the new students who are starting this class to believe in yourself. It is possible to successfully continue with something that seemed impossible.
We have a 60 day yoga challenge right now and I'm taking double classes most days. I can only say that I increase my energy level and feel great after every class.
