Hi! My name is Lori Fielder and I have been coming to Bikram of Grapevine since November. Before I started, I had been doing weight training and some Pilates, but I still had a lot of back pain from previous injuries and overall did not feel completely healthy.
I was very skeptical about the "hot" yoga that a co-worker kept raving about, so I decided to see for myself. Boy, am I glad I did! I feel more agile then ever before and I have lost 10 lbs. For the past 7 years I've played catcher for my company softball team. I would always feel "beat up" right after the game and for the next couple of days after. Now, I feel as if time has turned back for my muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Now, I'm a true Bikram yogie. I have also been inspired enough to think about becoming an instructor, but I have a lot more practice to do first. But I don't mind the practice. I love going to class and have gained a lot of strength in my legs and core muscles. I think everyone young and old can definitely benefit from Bikram. I know I have!
I've had the privilege of meeting all of the instructors at Bikram of Grapevine and every one of them amazes me! They are very encouraging and inspiring. I thank them all for the wonderful instruction and especially, the inspiration! I am hooked!
