Weight Loss
I was at the threshold of my 50th birthday and wanted to look better. I had started yoga in August with my two sister-in-laws. We loved it, but no results. We had heard of Bikram Yoga on the news and were very interested. The only place we could find was in Dallas. We continued our search and found out that Stacey and Elizabeth were opening a studio in our backyard. We started Bikram Yoga practice on 2-11-02. I go 3-4 times a week. In less than 2 months, I have lost about 20 pounds with dieting. My sister-in-laws haven't been dieting and have lost weight and inches. We have increased our body strength and muscle tone, not to mention the mental aspect of it. We love Stacey and Elizabeth. The are truly awesome teachers and make everyone feel comfortable! If we can do it, anyone can........

I've lost 10 pounds doing yoga. I feel great. Obviously, the heat melts fat. But many of the postures are aerobic, even though you're standing completely still. So you're burning fat that way. Plus, if you do it enough, yoga normalizes your metabolism so you need less food to give you the same energy you had before.
