Quick Weight Loss
Like many people, my life has been a diet. It has been a constant battle keeping my weight under control. I've tried everything, done everything to lose weight. At one time in my life I trained to run a marathon because I thought if I did I would look like those lean runners. After crossing the finish line of my third race, I looked at myself and I was still the same big frame bulky guy I was before I started running and I had not significantly reduced my weight.

After countless miles of running my knees are all but worn out. So I found boxing as an alternative exercise that is both aerobic and muscle strengthening. The only problem is that the constant pounding and beating that you get in boxing takes a toll on the body. I needed to find something to help me with my aches and pains.

Lucky for me I found the courage to give Bikram Yoga a try. I've only been practicing for less than three months but I can honestly attest that it has been life changing.

In the past ten weeks I have lost 12 pounds, reduced my resting heart rate from 78 to 64 beats per minute and dropped my blood pressure by ten points on both the top and bottom measurements. In addition, it has done wonders for my aches and pains. I can't remember the last time I felt so good and the only thing I've changed in my regiment has been Bikram Yoga.

Serendipitously, my tolerance to bad food and alcohol has gone way down. After yoga, the last thing I want is to consume alcohol or greasy food. I can really tell in my performance if I have eaten poorly or dehydrated myself the day before.

Unlike most activities, Bikram Yoga can affect your life on many levels. For me those changes include diet, weight management, flexibility, joint therapy, physical conditioning and mental and spiritual well-being. I am looking forward to continued improvements and highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their life.
